Trainee Software Development in Berlin

We are looking for a dedicated Software Development Trainee (m/f/d) to join ourinnovative, small team at Versio.io.

In this role, you will work in an exciting, international product and project environment. You will gain comprehensive insightsand have the chance to actively explore the fields of front-end development, back-enddevelopment and AI/data engineering, enabling you to identify and develop your individualstrengths. Your work area

During your traineeship, you will rotate through our core departments and graduallytake on more responsibility:

• Front-end development -Helping to design and implement user-friendly, modern web interfaces for our cloudplatform. You will learn how to present complex IT data in a visually appealing andintuitive way.
• Back-end development -Using our modern technological stack (e.g. Node.js, Linux, SQL) to develop scalableand secure back-end services. You will help automate processes and integrate APIs.
• AI & data engineering -Collaborating on the design and maintenance of our robust data pipelines. You willgain initial experience in integrating AI models for structuring, classifying andanalysing large volumes of product data (e.g. vulnerability descriptions or releasedata).
• Teamwork & agility -Close, agile collaboration within our small, high-performing team. You will benefitfrom intensive mentoring and play an active role in the continuous development ofour international product.

Your profile and skills

• Education -Degree in computer science, business informatics or a comparable qualification orpractical experience.
• Technology stack -Sound programming skills, ideally strong in Node.js, as well as confident handlingof structured data formats (XML, JSON).
• Databases & OS -Very good knowledge of SQL and relational databases as well as confidence workingin a Linux environment (including shell scripting/Bash).
• Artificial intelligence -Keen interest and, ideally, initial practical experience in the use of AI technologiesin the context of data processing.
• Mindset -Analytical skills, a strong understanding of complex data structures and an independent,solution-oriented approach to work.
• Communication -Team player mentality for our innovative working environment and good written andspoken English skills (for our international context).
